When should I arrive for the camp?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Please arrive on Sunday. Hotel Alpin check-in is from 14:00 to 16:00, and the welcome meeting begins at 16:30. Bring sportswear and water for the team activities after the meeting.

Where is the welcome meeting?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Meet at Hotel Alpin, Mischistrasse 18, 3906 Saas-Fee, directly opposite the Alpin Express gondola, on Sunday at 16:30. You will meet the coaches and athletes, form training groups and receive the weekly schedule. Please be on time.

Afterwards, athletes meet their coach and join team-building games. Bring sportswear and water. If equipment needs checking or setting up, tell your coach at the welcome meeting so it can be done afterwards.

If you cannot attend, join the Saas-Fee WhatsApp channel beforehand and check it on Sunday evening for the meeting information. There is no need to request the information individually by email or WhatsApp.

What time does the camp finish?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

The camp finishes on Saturday at 13:00. Please collect athletes outside Hotel Alpin. There are no dryland activities on Saturday afternoon.

What does a typical training week look like?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

The programme plans five ski days, Monday to Friday, with glacier training in the mornings. Lunch is followed by rest before afternoon dryland training, ski preparation, stretching and video analysis.

Exact times are shared daily through the camp WhatsApp channel and coaching groups. If skiing takes place Monday to Friday, the regular Saturday programme is a morning dryland activity session. The week finishes at 13:00.

Where do athletes meet in the morning?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

The morning meeting point is the Alpin Express bottom station. Check the camp WhatsApp channel each evening for the next day’s exact time. Please arrive punctually, as lift access is time-sensitive.

As a guide, in summer the group goes up to the slopes at around 7:15, as shown in the daily schedule on the camp page. In autumn the day starts later: the group usually goes up about half an hour later, and the time shifts a little day by day as the season progresses, always depending on snow and temperature. The exact time is confirmed each evening on the WhatsApp channel.

What happens if the glacier is closed?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

The glacier may close because of wind, avalanche risk, glacier instability in warm conditions, poor visibility or lift technical problems. Alternative off-snow training is provided when skiing cannot take place.

If skiing is cancelled during the week, Saturday becomes a make-up ski day with no extra coaching charge, conditions permitting. Collect athletes at 13:00 outside Hotel Alpin.

Mountain conditions cannot be guaranteed. Significant changes to resort operations will be communicated as information becomes available. Check the camp WhatsApp channel for daily programme updates.

Is there optional ski training on Saturday?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

If skiing has taken place Monday to Friday, optional Saturday gate training may be offered at CHF 133 plus the ski pass. Details are shared through WhatsApp during the camp. Otherwise, Saturday follows the normal programme, including a make-up ski session where applicable.

How should I prepare for glacier weather?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Training takes place at approximately 3,500 metres, where conditions can change quickly. Bring extra layers, suitable goggles, high-factor sunscreen, snacks and at least one litre of water every ski morning.

What is different for U10 athletes?

Saas-Fee · U10 camp

U10 athletes meet at the same point, the Alpin Express bottom station, at the time announced each evening (around 7:15 in summer and about half an hour later in autumn, depending on conditions). A parent or responsible adult drops the athlete off and collects them at the end of the day at the time and place indicated by the coach.

The U10 camp does not include the supervised athlete hotel: families arrange accommodation and care outside the programme. Off-snow activities such as rollerblading and bouldering take place in the afternoon; all equipment for these activities is provided (see the equipment guide).

Where can I find daily schedules and updates?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Join the Ski Zenit Saas-Fee WhatsApp channel. Use the link to join yourself; there is no need to ask the team to add you.

The channel shares welcome information, daily schedules, programme changes, important camp announcements and emergency updates. Turn notifications on, pin the channel and check it every day.

All parents and athletes from U14 upwards must join. Coaches also create group chats for their athletes and, for younger athletes, their parents. Hotel athletes receive the daily information from the supervisor.

Does my child need to bring a phone?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Hotel athletes receive daily information from the supervisor, so bringing a phone is not compulsory for their stay. Phones are not used during training sessions.

Where can athletes find their training videos?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Coaches upload videos daily to Google Drive. The access link is in your original booking confirmation email. The videos support athlete feedback and training, rather than ongoing parent monitoring.

Who should I contact with a question?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

For schedules, equipment or training, contact the athlete’s coach or check the camp WhatsApp channel. For booking questions, reply to your original booking email thread. Athletes are encouraged to speak directly with coaches when unsure, know their daily schedule and arrive prepared and on time.

What are the expectations for athletes and parents?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Athletes should know their daily schedule, bring the correct equipment, be punctual, respect others and be engaged and prepared. Speak directly with your coach when unsure. Phones are not used during sessions.

Parents should follow email and WhatsApp updates, read the booking terms and contact coaches for pertinent questions or urgent matters. Parents do not join camp activities while athletes are with coaches. Encourage athletes to communicate directly with staff and take responsibility for their camp routine.

Please read the Code of Conduct and the Terms & Conditions.

Can I buy Ski Zenit clothing at camp?

Saas-Fee · Summer & autumn camp

Ski Zenit 20th anniversary apparel is available at the welcome meeting, including ski jackets, windbreakers, race shorts, buffs, T-shirts and hats. Ask the team about available sizes and items.
