Code of Conduct and Accountability Measures for Athletes

To get the most from training with Ski Zenit, we believe in creating a positive environment filled with fun, effort, and respect to everyone.

We’ve learned from past experiences and so have now set some simple rules to keep everything running smoothly and ensure good sportsmanship throughout the camps.

Everyone participating in our camps and private training are kindly asked to follow these rules. All athletes will get a quick overview from their coach at the start of each training camp at the Sunday afternoon welcome meeting.

It’s important that each athlete understands and follows these rules.

Standards for a Positive Experience at Ski Zenit Racing Camps

We believe that respect and understanding are the heart of a great training experience. To ensure this, we’ve established a simple and fair system to address any lapses in behaviour.

If there’s a breach of our rules, a member of the Ski Zenit team, be it a physical trainer, ski coach, or hotel supervisor, will have a chat with the athlete in question. They’ll explain what went wrong and how to avoid it in the future.

  1. If this happens once, consider it a gentle reminder – our version of a “yellow card.” We’re confident that our athletes will learn from the experience and rectify their mistakes.
  2. If a second instance occurs, we treat it as a more serious reminder – akin to an “orange card.” Again, we’ll discuss what went wrong and how to correct it. We’ll also remind the athlete that further breaches may lead to more serious consequences.
  3. In the unlikely event of a third breach, we’ll have to take firmer action, which we refer to as a “red card.” This could potentially mean the athlete’s exclusion from the rest of the camp. They would then need to leave the camp and the hotel within the next 24 hours. The details of any early departure would need to be arranged and covered by the athlete or their parents/guardians. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to refund camp fees or accommodation costs in this situation.

Please note, for major breaches, we might have to skip straight to an “orange” or even a “red card.” However, we hope this never happens.

Every step of the way, we’ll make sure both the athlete and their parents/guardians understand what’s happening. Our Ski Camp coordinator will communicate any issues clearly to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Please remember, our main goal is to create a positive, respectful, and fun training environment for everyone involved. We’re confident that with everyone’s cooperation, this will be the norm at our camps!
