This page explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on skiracingcamps.ch, why we use them and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.

The operator of this website and the controller for the data described here is Ski Zenit Sàrl, Route de Ricard 8, 3960 Niouc, Switzerland (registered office, no public reception). Contact: info@skizenit.ch.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work; others are used to measure visits or to display content from third parties. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and embedded third-party content. In this policy we refer to all of them as “cookies”.

Your choice

When you first visit the site, a consent banner lets you accept all cookies, refuse the optional ones or choose by category. Only strictly necessary cookies are placed before you decide. Optional cookies and third-party content are loaded only after you accept the relevant category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Manage options” button at the bottom of every page.

Cookies used on this website

Strictly necessary (no consent required)

These are needed for the website to work and cannot be switched off.

  • Language selection (WPML) – cookies wp-wpml_current_language and related; remember the language you are browsing in. Duration: session to 1 day.
  • Consent preferences (Complianz) – cookies cmplz_*; store the choice you made in the cookie banner. Duration: up to 365 days.
  • Session and security – PHPSESSID and, for logged-in users only, WordPress login cookies; protect forms against abuse and keep a session while you browse. Duration: session.
  • Cache and performance (LiteSpeed) – technical cookies that help deliver pages faster. No personal data.
  • Spam protection on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) – checks that a form is sent by a person, not a bot. Runs only on pages with a form; Cloudflare receives your IP address for this check.

Statistics (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how visitors use the website: number of visits, pages viewed, country, device type. IP addresses are anonymised by design in Google Analytics 4. Cookies: _ga, _ga_*; duration up to 2 years. Google may transfer data to servers in the USA; Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. These cookies are not set unless you accept the “Statistics” category.

Marketing and embedded content (only with your consent)

  • YouTube videos (Google Ireland Ltd.) – some pages contain embedded videos. Until you accept, only a placeholder is shown. When a video is loaded, YouTube may set cookies (for example VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC) and process your IP address and viewing behaviour.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel – not currently in use. If we activate it in future, it will only be loaded after you accept the “Marketing” category, and this policy will be updated.

Other third-party services (no cookies)

Google reviews widget (Trustindex.io) – loads on every page to display our public Google reviews. It sets no cookies; Trustindex and Google servers receive your IP address when the widget is loaded. Chat: the website offers a WhatsApp click-to-chat button and an AI assistant (Joinchat). No cookies are set by simply viewing the page. If you start a conversation, the messages you type are sent to the provider (Joinchat / Meta for WhatsApp) to be answered. Please do not share sensitive personal data in the chat.

How to manage cookies

Use the “Manage options” button at the bottom of any page to change your preferences. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may not work properly. Instructions for common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP). Statistics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
